Who we are

Newground is responsible for processing personal data through newground.nl. Questions about privacy go to Rik Heijmen at rik.heijmen@newground.nl.

When you visit the website

Our website runs at Hostinger, a hosting company from Lithuania. Like every web server, it records technical data in log files: your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser. This is needed to keep the site secure and working; that is our legitimate interest. We do not use this data to follow you or to build a profile of you.

Cookies and local storage

newground.nl does not set cookies. That is why you have not seen a cookie notice. If you choose Dutch or English yourself with the language button, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage. The choice stays on your own device and is not sent to us.

Which language you see first is decided by your own browser, based on your language setting and time zone. This happens on your device, without us asking for your location.

Booking a sounding board call

When you click Book a sounding board call, we only then load the calendar of Zeeg, a European scheduling tool from Germany. If you book an appointment, Zeeg processes what you fill in, such as your name, email address and any notes, and sends you the confirmation. Zeeg may use its own functional cookies for this; Zeeg's privacy policy applies to those. We meet via Whereby, a video service from Norway.

We only use this data to prepare and hold the conversation, because you ask us to.

When you email us

If you email us, we use your name, email address and what you write to reply to you and to keep track of our contact.

Links to other sites

Our articles link to LinkedIn and other sites. If you click such a link, that party's privacy policy applies there.

How long we keep data

We keep contact and appointment data for as long as our contact requires, and no longer than two years after the last contact. If the law requires us to keep something longer, for example for our accounts, we do so. Hostinger keeps log files for a limited time for security and maintenance.

Who we share data with

We do not sell data. We only share it with the service providers above, who process it on our behalf, or when the law requires us to. All of these service providers are based in Europe.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or transfer your data. You can also object to processing. Email rik.heijmen@newground.nl; we respond within a month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If we change this statement, you will see it in the date at the top of this page.
